Limay Senior High School is truly fortunate to be the home of outstanding, talented, hardworking and exceptional teachers as three of its faculty members were recognized this month by the Division and Regional offices of the Department of Education (DepEd) due to their contributions to its operations and attainment of its institutional vision and mission.

The three LSHS teachers are Ms. Cheyser Charesse Gatchula an ICT teacher, Mr. Melbourne L. Salonga, also an ICT teacher, and Mr. Jeffrey Gliban, an English teacher and The Harbinger Adviser.
Ms. Gatchula participated in the 4th National Storybook Writing Competition where she joined in two categories: Grade 4 storybook writing as an illustrator and lay-out artist, and the other is for wordless storybook for kindergarten as a writer, illustrator and lay-out artist.
Due to her skill in illustrating and practicing what she is teaching to her Animation students, she won 2nd place in the Grade 4 category, while she bagged 4th place in the Kindergarten category.
In an interview Gatchula considered illustrating as her stress reliever, aside from she loves doing the said craft for the children which is the core reason in joining the competition.
Meanwhile, the Schools Division Office of Bataan announced Mr. Salonga as the winner of School Year 2021-2022 Search for the Most Outstanding Teacher in the high school category.
He received his award during the Gawad PANTAS, which stands for Parangal sa mga Natatanging Tagahatid Serbisyo sa Deped Bataan, last December 19 at the Bataan Government Center, Pilar, Bataan.
Salonga was also the chosen representative of DepEd Bataan as its entry in the Regional Search for Outstanding Teachers.
Together with his entire DepEd Bataan Broadcast team, a certificate of recognition was awarded to Mr. Gliban last November 25 for his exemplary dedication and contribution as a member of the DepEd Region III Public Affairs Team where he served as anchor, broadcaster and scriptwriter for the Edukasyon Central Luzon News Edition Weekly Program, at Hacienda Gracia Hotel and Resort, Lubao, Pampanga.
Edukasyon Central Luzon is a regional online news program that reports the activities and accomplishments of schools divisions under the DepEd Region III.
Moreover, Gliban and the DepEd Bataan Broadcast team were also acknowledged during the Gawad PANTAS for representing SDO Bataan in the aforesaid regional newscast.
