Founded on June 20, 2016 with "The Limayan" THE HARBINGER is the voice of the students of Limay Senior High School whose noble cause to raise information dissemination, social awareness, moral consciousness, human creative tapestry, and prudent criticality on pressing issues are anchored from no less than truth, parity, relevance and excellence in the practice of campus journalism.
THE HARBINGER is a student publication that serves not only the studentry and Limay Senior High School, but also the immediate community to help the Filipino society create a well-informed, upright and rational citizens.
The organization has the following objectives:
A. To be the leading student organization of Limay Senior High School that propagates information, ideas, opinions and stories which are beneficial to Limay SHS students, teachers, administrators, parents and the school’s immediate community.
B. To be a platform in showcasing students’ journalistic skills, specifically in writing and visual arts (illustration, lay-outing and photojournalism).
C. To be the school and community’s reliable partner in inculcating helpful lessons to the students which are relevant to their growth as human beings, as Filipino citizens, and as future professionals.
D. To help fight the spread of disinformation, also known as “fake news.”
E. To be one of Limay Senior High School’s source of pride through its valuable journalistic efforts in and out the LSHS campus.
F. To promote the use of Filipino and English as media for a healthy public discourse.
